Dolcipani was an authentic Italian bakery in the heart of Wiltshire. It offered a huge range of freshly baked organic breads, delicious Italian cakes and ice creams, traditional stone-baked pizza, and savoury Sicilian dishes. It was also the home of the famous Devizes Cheesecake – Jane Austen’s favourite sweet treat.

Although Dolcipani is no longer open, it remains fondly remembered by those who loved its unique flavours and warm hospitality. The bakery was a true reflection of its founder, Giovanni Campanella, whose passion for food and community made it such a special place. Giovanni sadly passed away in 2019, but his legacy lives on in the memories of those who shared in his love for great food and good company. The table was always properly laid, and family, friends, and neighbours would gather to enjoy the food, appreciate the effort that had gone into producing it, share news, and discuss family matters.
